Why Bees Matter
Bees may be small, but they play a huge role in nature. As they move from flower to flower collecting food, they carry pollen that helps plants produce fruits and seeds. In fact, about one-third of the food we eat depends on bees and other insects.
Sadly, bee numbers have been falling in recent years. Scientists believe that chemicals used on farms and the loss of wild flowers are two major causes.
